12 December

 THE BLACK DAYS

12th to 14th December, 2015 could be seen as Black Days in the history of the giant of Africa, Nigeria. The days witnessed a stream of blood ocean flowing through various streets of the Zaria City in Kaduna State of Northern Nigeria, as the Nigerian Army appeared there, armed to the teeth and crushed on armless and peaceful citizens (that are exercising their constitutional freedom of religion and the right of peaceful assembly enshrined in the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, 1999 as amended).

The Army that are equipped and paid from the Public Treasury to defend /protect Nigerians ended up in extinguishing more than a thousand innocent citizens. They inhumanely massacred 193 children (including a one and half year baby), 97 women (of which 23 were pregnants), 548 men and about 39 families completely wiped out of existence. They took and gave all the corpses mass burial denying their families the right to observe proper funeral /burial rites.

As a result of the massacre, 170 undergraduate students were murdered, 2,189 children became orphans, 519 women became widows and about 1,104 parents lost their children.

The Army committed heinous crimes that included setting fire to buildings, burning people alive amd shooting infants at close range among others.

All these were orchestrated under the command of some scoundrel elements in authority who appeared to have given preference to their selfish interest /sectarian bigotries over and above the Laws of the Land.

Lastly, The perpetrators of this crime have to be brought in to book as recommended by kangaroo JCI established by Kaduna State Government.
